Sheriff’s homicide detectives continue to investigate what they deem as a “suspicious death” at a home on the 300 block of East Forest Avenue in Arcadia. According to detectives on scene Tuesday, a construction worker doing some work at the home found the body of an elderly female at around 7 a.m. outside the house in the garden.

The construction worker immediately contacted Arcadia PD to investigate, who in turn contacted the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

An older cocker spaniel was removed from the house due to the heat. Animal control was called to assist with the dog’s well-being.
