Sylvia Rosenberger, Chief Development Officer for the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation, is the guest speaker for the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council’s meeting coming up on Monday, April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. inside the Jordan Meeting Hall at Church of the Good Shepherd in Arcadia (400 W. Duarte Road). Sylvia is a dynamic speaker and will share the latest news about the Arboretum’s upcoming events, capital projects and educational programming.

The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is governed through a private/public collaboration between the Foundation and the County of Los Angeles through its Parks and Recreation Department. The Foundation is the nonprofit that raises philanthropic support for the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. Rosenberger oversees the Membership and Development Departments responsible for raising support vital to sustaining the gardens, historic architecture, capital projects, and educational programming.

Sylvia’s 20-plus years of nonprofit management experience also includes the areas of nonprofit operations and executive leadership with both the Girl Scouts and the Downtown Women’s Center. Currently, Sylvia serves on the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is also a happy home gardener in Pasadena.

For reservations contact Arcadia Community Coordinating Council President Sue Cook at (626) 253-1323 or through email at arcadiacommunitycouncil@gmail.com. There is a $15 fee that includes lunch if you RSVP by March 27, otherwise there is a $20 fee to be paid at the door.
