Hundreds are expected to join together at Central Park Pasadena to help meet $165,000 fundraising goal

More than 750 supporters are anticipated to come together in support of critically ill children and their families to help raise funds and awareness at the 2019 Pasadena Ronald McDonald House (PRMH) Walk for Kids. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 7 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Central Park Pasadena at 275 S. Raymond Avenue .

The annual family-friendly 3.7k (2.3 mile) event aims to raise $165,000 for programs supporting families who must travel outside their communities to access medical treatment for their critically ill children at local hospitals.

Walkers come together for a day of fun, food, entertainment and giveaways. The event features a kids zone, face painter, balloon artist, arts and crafts, bouncy house, scavenger hunt, food trucks and much more.

The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House runs on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on healing their child. The House gives families a place to stay, a source of comfort, care support and a chance to focus their energy on what matters most: getting their child well. The Walk for Kids proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House programs and services.

Los Angeles radio personality Mike Catherwood will be emceeing the event. Other appearances include NFL alums James Washington, Bret Lockett, Will Poole, Thomas Williams and Mike Williams.

Registration and family activities begin at 8 a.m. The opening ceremony will start at 9 a.m, and the walk will start at 9:30 a.m. For more information, go to rmhcsc.org/pasadena/events.
