Children of all ages are invited to special 3D printing classes at the Arcadia Public Library the first week in April. Designed for specific ages, these classes introduce children and their parents to the basics of 3D design. Participants will learn how to use Tinkercad, an online app, to create simple 3D designs in the Library’s computer lab. They will need to set up an online Tinkercad account before the start of the workshop.

On Monday, April 1, the workshop is for kids in third through fifth grade, while on Tuesday, April 2, the workshop is for kids in sixth through eighth grade, and on Wednesday, April 3, the workshop is for kids in 4th through 8th grade and their parents. All three classes run from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Due to limited seating, registration is required for these workshops. In-person registration for Arcadia residents begins on Saturday, March 23, at 10 a.m. in the Jerry Broadwell Children’s Room of the Arcadia Public Library. Open Registration starts at 11 a.m. that day, and telephone registration is available starting at 10 am on Monday, March 25.

For more information, please call (626) 821-5566 or visit the Arcadia Public Library’s website at ArcadiaCA.gov/library. The Arcadia Public Library is located at 20 W. Duarte Rd. The Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. You can also follow the Library on Facebook and Twitter.
