Designer Jeanne Chung to Chair Junior League of Pasadena and Leadership Pasadena’s Design Competition

Leadership Pasadena and Junior League Pasadena are thrilled to announce that Jeanne K. Chung, owner and designer of Cozy Stylish Chic will chair the tablescape design competition “The World of Conversation” coming to the Pasadena Convention Center on Nov. 9, 2019.

“Collaboration seems to be the buzz word du jour in almost every industry. In order to strengthen the design profession as a whole, designers both new and old, need to think about how they do business and make a having real conversations to network and collaborate a daily part of their business.  Gone are the days where everyone kept to themselves and guarded their sources under lock and key.  As the interior design business continues to change, designers need to lift each other up, band together to build the design community as a whole, and in doing so we will each become stronger and more successful in our own individual business ventures.  It’s all about talking with each other and giving and receiving – a two-way street. Therefore, I am very happy to lead a creative, exciting event to celebrate the power and world of conversation and showcase the vibrant Pasadena design community with Leadership Pasadena and the Junior League Pasadena!” 

Anthony Guthmiller, co-creator of Leadership Pasadena’s tablescape competition last year shared:

“I have always been inspired by a creative table setting.  After seeing DIFFA’s tablescape settings in other major metropolitan cities, I felt Pasadena would be a perfect site for a like event.  I was very happy and honored that Leadership Pasadena decided to take a chance on the concept in starting last year’s event.  This year under the direction of Jeanne Chung, it will move to the next level, very exciting!

This designer showcase event will allow local designers, floral artists, lifestyle providers and select non-profits to compete for a full-page color ad in LA Dreams Magazine, a $6,000 value, by creating a dining table for eight to celebrate the power and importance of conversations around the world and across cultures, even here at home. Invited guests will vote on their favorite table to determine the winning table with enjoying delicious food and beverages and other lifestyle experiences.

Junior League of Pasadena Fundraising Director Lisa Zastrow explained:

“Ms. Chung is a renown Southern California-based luxury interior designer known for her eclectic design aesthetic that bridges classic design principles with a modern twist that is fresh and exciting, yet still warm and inviting. Cozy Stylish Chic has become a favorite go-to destination for designers and design enthusiasts who seek an artfully edited selection of home furnishings and accessories. Since founding her design blog Cozy Stylish Chic in 2013, Jeanne has become recognized as a national influencer in the design industry and has worked closely with brands, often attending trade shows on their behalf, where she regularly speaks on designer panels.”
