Former Rose Hills funeral arranger Darlene Incando of Monrovia will discuss and sign her book, “What You Can Do Now,” on March 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Rod’s Grill (41 W. Huntington Drive) in Arcadia. The book goes beyond basic funeral arrangements and takes a unique look at what one can do to ease the grieving process of family and friends at the time of one’s passing.

Anyone purchasing a book will get $5 off on beef dip sandwiches, courtesy of the author. The last words she heard from her late husband, Tony, as he was being wheeled out of his hospital room for some tests were: “Dar, would you get me a beef dip sandwich from Rod’s Grill so I can eat it when I get back. I am sooo hungry.” There were complications and Tony ended up on life support and died the next day. March 12 would have been his 84th birthday.
