Pasadena’s Intimate Jazz Concert Series
Curated by Performances à la Carte, the Pasadena based collaborative arts and social conscience entity along with its alliance with Pasadena community and social action leader, Neighborhood UU Church, presents the spring 2019 Jazz ‘n Paz, the intimate seasonal monthly early Sunday evening jazz series featuring a lineup of award-winning and internationally renowned jazz musicians. Jazz ‘n Paz takes place at 5 p.m. at Neighborhood UU Church in Pasadena. Series subscriptions are now on sale, offering a discount from individual concert tickets.
Opening on Feb. 24, the first of three concerts presented on the fourth Sunday of each month features Black Market Reverie, a unique combination of New Orleans Bayou and French Cabaret Jazz with Lyman Medeiros on Bass and Renee Myara on vocals, followed by the legendary Barbara Morrison and her Trio on March 24, and the final concert on April 28 with Eclectic Collective, featuring Jamie Perez with the Nick Mancini Collective, a nine-piece band including such jazz front-runners as saxophone tour de force, Danny Janklow and the amazingly gifted jazz pianist Michael Ragonese, in a concert of improv standards, originals and Elton John tunes that will blow your mind.
Advance online purchase of Jazz ‘n Paz tickets include Subscription Series tickets with reserved seating at $60 for all three concerts or $25 for individual concerts (no reserved seating).
