This Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m., the Caltech Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics will be holding their Big Data conference which will include networking opportunities and a full program of guest speakers.
Caltech Entrepreneurs Forum explains, “Big Data has exploded and engulfed us all. It has led to a technology and business revolution. Every website, email, SMS text, mouse click, download, and Internet of Things (IoT), sensor input now predicts epidemics, calculates risk, understands consumer behavior and formulates public policies. Entrepreneurs are pursuing these Big Data opportunities in what is becoming the 21st century equivalent of the gold rush.”
During this information-packed program speakers will share their views on the opportunities and challenges entrepreneurs face in building new ventures.
Their keynote speaker will be Gil Elbaz, founder & CEO of Factual Inc. and co-founder of Applied Semantics. Other speakers include Wes Nichols, Dominique (Mike) Hanssens, and more.
Advance Tickets are free for Caltech students while general admission is $30 and $20 for non-Caltech students. Advance ticket tales end on Friday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. Admission prices will increase at the door. A current valid ID is required for all student admissions. A full admission price will be charged without ID.
The conference will begin at 8 a.m. with coffee and networking and the main program will start at 9 a.m. You can register online at Eventbrite.com.
