There will be a free household hazardous waste and electronic waste recycling round-up set for Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Huntington Millennium Center. The address is 181 W. Huntington Drive.

The items that can be brought include:

  • unused pharmaceuticals.
  • car batteries.
  • used motor oil.
  • paint pesticides.
  • sharps.
  • electronic waste.

This is a free easy way to dispose of items too toxic to throw out in regular trash.  For more information on what can be brought, call the Los Angeles County Sanitation District at (800) 238-0172 .
