Arcadia firefighters visited children with cancer currently living and undergoing treatment at City of Hope hospital in Duarte to give them gifts last Wednesday.

For more than a dozen years Arcadia Firefighters from Station 107-Orange Grove have gone to City Of Hope on their day off to give Christmas presents to children in each room in the pediatric oncology wing.

“Seeing these children in this hospital, especially at Christmas time, giving them a couple of gifts and singing them a Christmas song is great for all of our souls” stated Captain Tuggle.

According to a City Of Hope spokesperson “This effort by these heroes is simply huge for these young children who are struggling; [it] cannot be put into words to thank them enough.”
