Man That Went Missing from Arcadia Mall Spotted in Alhambra

Arcadia PD needs help locating him

Matthew Munoz was last seen by an Alhambra resident on Dec. 17. This resident took a photograph which the Munoz family has confirmed to be a photo of the missing person. He is still believed to be in the greater San Gabriel Valley area and police are still searching for him.

Munoz walked away from a family member while at Westfield Santa Anita Mall, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave. in Arcadia, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 in the late afternoon. Munoz is described as a 22-year-old Hispanic male with black hair, a beard and mustache, and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-9 and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

Munoz is a non-dependent adult who experiences short episodes where he acts “childlike” and then reverts back to a normal state of mind.

Munoz was last seen wearing a green shirt, grey shorts, long white socks, and black Nike shoes. He has stretched earlobes from wearing plugs and a “Dodgers” tattoo on his right forearm. He has no cell phone or money and frequents the mall, LA Fitness, and the County Park in Arcadia. He has not been known to wander in the past.
