Arcadia Educational Foundation Has the Gift that Keeps Giving
As the season of giving sets in and folks mull over the perfect gift ideas, the Arcadia Educational Foundation (AEF) has an option for a gift that keeps on giving – an excellent education.
“Our organization [AEF] exists to support Arcadia Unified schools,” explained AEF Director Anne Rai. “We run donation drives to pay for important and necessary programs and services for Arcadia Unified students, teachers and schools.”
In the past school year, AEF has provided funding for Arcadia Unified’s emergency and communication mass messaging system, teacher mini-grants, which enhance learning environments, and much more.
“We received a good show of support for our ‘Giving Tuesday’ campaign, raising over $12,500, and we have set a new goal to raise $25,000 for our current, year-end drive,” shared Rai.
A non-profit organization that was founded in 1981 in response to substantially reduced federal and state funding for California public schools, Arcadia Unified continues to rely on AEF to bridge this funding gap. AEF is administered by trustees who are comprised of parents and community members and represent the interests of each of Arcadia Unified’s 11 public schools.
Donations to AEF’s current year-end giving drive can be made online at arcadiaedfoundation.org/donate/ or by mail to P.O. Box 660009, Arcadia, CA 91066-0009.
