Pasadena’s Maranatha High Partners With APU to Offer Guaranteed Admission and $10K Scholarships
Maranatha High School in Pasadena is partnering with Azusa Pacific University (APU) to create a pathway to college for its students. The two schools signed a memorandum of understanding during convocation at Maranatha High School on Nov. 26. This agreement provides Maranatha High School students who meet admissions requirements with guaranteed admittance to APU, a $10,000 renewable scholarship, application fee waiver, and support with the application process.
“This agreement between Maranatha High School and Azusa Pacific University solidifies the long-standing partnership we have as schools that serve our communities by offering an education with a distinctively Christian worldview,” said Head of School Dr. Steven Sherman. “This agreement will benefit Minutemen graduates for years to come. We continue to value our affiliation with Azusa Pacific University.”
The agreement begins fall 2019. Incoming high school freshmen who successfully follow the academic pathway all four years will be eligible.
“As Christ-centered institutions committed to graduating disciples and scholars who make a difference in the world, this partnership between APU and Maranatha is a perfect fit,” said President Jon R. Wallace, DBA. “We look forward to welcoming many more Maranatha High School students into our APU family.”
