If you are thinking about doing something different this year for the holidays you must visit the Santa Anita Park Winterfest in the City of Arcadia. The park has completely renovated and converted the infield area into an incredible holiday festival. Winterfest is open to the public Thursday through Sunday and is expected to last all the way through Jan. 6. There are many activities for the entire family to enjoy and a few main attractions that will leave you filled with fresh holiday spirit this season.

One of the main features at Winterfest is an extraordinary ice skating rink. This open ice skating rink is just as merry to ice skate on as it is to admire from the sidelines. The ice rink lights up beautifully starting at dawn and you can enjoy ice skating while holiday music plays all over the infield. There are cozy cabanas (huts) available for rent nearby the rink where you can order food and holiday themed cocktails. You may even get to see some snow around this area.

Another main attraction is Santa’s Village, located near the enormous Christmas tree you are sure not to miss. Santa himself will be available to meet, greet and pose for the perfect Christmas or holiday photo with you and your loved ones. Near Santa’s Village you will also see a petting zoo for the kids and draft horse rides for the adults. The entire experience is designed for everyone in your family to enjoy.

Santa Anita Park is inviting you and your entire family to experience Winterfest before it is over. You can preorder ticket packages in advance online and save money. The track is also getting ready for their upcoming winter racing meet that will start Dec. 26. Winterfest is the perfect attraction to enjoy this holiday season, so hurry and jingle all the way to Santa Anita Park before it is too late.
