For the upcoming holidays, Youth Services has set up a Letter Writing Station at the Monrovia Public Library. Children are encouraged to use the paper provided to write a letter to Santa, a United States military soldier, or their favorite book character.

Participants need to have their letters completed and in the library mailbox (on the Youth Reference Desk) by Saturday, Dec. 8.

Youth Services staff will deliver all Santa letters to the Monrovia Post Office. If the child has filled in their complete address, Santa will write them back (thanks to the city’s postal staff). All letters written to U.S. military will be given to the city’s wonderful volunteer, Marilyn, who makes care packages for soldiers every year. All letters written to book characters will be responded to, thanks to talented ghostwriting youth staff.

Supplies are located at the Youth Reference Desk. If you have any questions, call (626) 256-8274.
