The John Elliott SS19 Runway Show “Los Angeles” was jam packed with bold, subtle, simple, and everyday comfort.

Of course, they remained on the cutting edge while being an essential clothing brand that can mix with any mindset. In this show, John Elliott stayed his course of making the highest quality mix of streetwear and high end everyday essentials. He has mastered the art of speaking volumes without speaking at all.

He delves into what seems to be a mastery of light dye patterns with a mix of jean and finished with hiking style sandals or his recent collab with Lebron James named The Icon.

The show began with freshly white based garments and pieces, and slowly made its way into the patterns and dyed elements.

John Elliott has never been one to shy away from those special made colors that have caused his gear to be one of the most recognizable brands in today’s fashion world.

He also offers a more relaxed biker look that comes equipped with jean stone washed pieces accented by socks that have a special hue of their own.

He offered pieces catered to women that offered fashionable but respectable looks that spoke of empowerment.

The jean jackets were a personal favorite having the silhouette of the short body long arm fit he used on them. It is more of a vintage leather jacket fit that was major in the 80’s grunge era.

His looks varied from being the cool guy at the business meeting to looking like you were headed to a safari. The women were draped in outfits with bold meaning, showing that women can make a jean top and bottom look smooth in their own right.

The women in long skirts, pencil skirts, and dresses offered a progressive look of the future where women will be looked at as the forward leaders of the world. He offered jackets such as bomber style, trench coat, jean jackets that zip or button, and even progressive styles like see-through long line jackets, with long overcoats that’s detailed with the material 3M.

He offered a variety of feels and looks throughout the show that suggested his brand has something to offer to every type of shopper out there. From your classic jean top and bottom outfits to your all green cargo pants and vest with a style of hiking sandal that is built for comfort and durability . You may have found a model in some luxurious gym shorts with a nice cotton top on with an Elliott x James collab sneaker.

He showed his brand is close to if not already attacking every consumer market possible in the industry. The feel of this show gave us a good idea of what Spring/Summer 19 will look like when it rolls around, and that’s simply because the combination of imagery this collection offers is very vivid. It’s an easier wear when you truly feel the top of the line quality of each piece.

This brand has truly become a staple in the streetwear/high end community and continues to impress year in and year out while continuing their separation. The quality of collaborations, show design, and overall brand presence seems to be a consistent practice for the brand.

John Elliott the man, his thoughts and his contributions are one of a kind and this Spring/Summer 19 Runway Show “Los Angeles” showed just that.
