Upscale streetwear store Union LA is once again partnered with Los Angeles labels BornxRaised and U.S. Alterations for an exclusive nine-piece capsule only available at ComplexCon. Union LA and BornxRaised have been teasing the collection on Instagram and will release more visuals before opening day.

Union LA is also selling exclusive Vans, Bephie, Real Bad Man, and Tuff Gong International merchandise but the BornxRaised / U.S. Alterations capsule will undoubtedly be the most sought-after and the most Los Angeles. The collection comes in distressed pastel colors (blue, yellow, and pink) splatter with paint and logos of three labels involved. The nine-piece capsule features three t-shirts, one long-sleeve shirt, three crewneck sweaters, and two hoodies – every piece unique and hand distressed.

The Union LA ComplexCon capsule embodies LA streetwear and pinnacle of the city’s upscale contribution to the culture. Union first opened its doors in 1989 in New York City’s SOHO district, Union LA opened shortly after. The LA store is now the only operating location, and it continues its vision of pushing street fashion forward by selling unique products from up and coming designers worldwide and working on collaborations like the 2018 ComplexCon capsule.
BornxRaised is LA to its core. It has been said that if Los Angeles was brand it would be BornxRaised. Inspired by the frustration that gentrification was causing in his Venice neighborhood, Spanto the label’s founder created BornxRaised. BornxRaised uniquely merges esthetics from gang culture, skate, punk, and hip-hop culture like only an LA brand could. In the past five years, BornxRaised has collaborated on collections with YG, designed album artwork for Vince Staples, and recently released a limited collection for Barneys New York.
U.S. Alterations is a concept boutique and brand located in Beverly Hills. The boutique sells a selection of high-end vintage couture, streetwear, sneakers, and designer home accessories and their own brand under the same name. The U.S. Alterations brand is inspired by Los Angeles culture, Americana, and military gear from around the world. With manufacturing being done in Downtown LA and store located in Beverly Hills, they’re representing the city to the fullest.
The Union x BornxRaised x U.S Alterations capsule was sold at the Union LA booth at ComplexCon on a first come, first served basis. ComplexCon is an annual convention and festival with a focus on fashion, music, and culture.
ComplexCon and streetwear are both arenas that are full of hype, but this time, the hype was real.
