I Am Christine Blasey Ford Project” to premiere exclusively

The second annual Female Filmmakers Fuse Film Festival will take place for two consecutive days, starting Nov. 1. Pasadena California has played host for the film festival that celebrates women in film from both in front of the camera and behind the camera. Last year’s film festival ran only one full day of screenings ending with a red-carpet award ceremony. Due to the success of last year’s film festival, the organization garnered more films and expanded the festival to run two days with an exclusive panel that is not to be missed.

The panel entitled “Celebrating Women,” will take place on the festival’s opening day, starting off with a red-carpet entrance. The panel will showcase a short film entitled “Cecilia” by Sophia Kiapos. It will also have an exclusive premiere screening of a special PSA currently entitled “I Am Christine Blasey Ford Project” by filmmaker Skyler Barrett. The PSA features various women that are advocates of the Me Too Movement., some of which include Harvey Weinstein accusers. The Panel will be an open forum discussion where topics will range from what’s next after the Me Too movement, to inclusion, pay equality and over all continued support for women in the industry

The women included for the panel are: Sophia Kiapos, Skyler Barrett, Candice Vernon, Julie Ann Johnson, Elizabeth Blake-Thomas, Deena Adar, Sasha Marie Speer and Emmy award-winning cinematographer Gabrielle Paciorek, just to name a few.

The Courtyard by Marriott at Old Town Pasadena (180 N. Fair Oaks Ave.) will host the two day event for the second time. Pre-sale tickets to the festival are $10 or $15 at the door. For more information regarding the event, screenings and tickets, visit femalefilmmakersfuse.org.
