Hollywood Headliners Raise Funds in Pasadena
CAP’s Fall Comedy Event Fundraiser Takes the Stage Nov. 11 at the Fremont Centre Theatre
College Access Plan, a Pasadena nonprofit that provides free programs in college preparedness and success will hold its 7th “It’s a Funny Story…” comedy fundraiser at the Fremont Centre Theatre (1000 Fremont Ave, South Pasadena, CA, 91030) on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
The event will feature some of Los Angeles’s most popular comedians and will be headlined by Michael Yo, a two-time Emmy nominee and stand-up comedian who has appeared on Chelsea Handler’s “Chelsea Lately” as a recurring comedy panelist. In addition, Yo is Hollywood’s resident entertainment and pop culture expert. He can be seen covering celebrity news and gossip on CBS’s “The Insider” as well as guest co-hosting CBS’s “The Talk.”
“It’s a Funny Story…” will be once again hosted by comedian Gary Cannon, who warms up the audience for TBS’s “Conan” and ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
Also appearing are Jason Cheny “World Series of Comedy”; Helen Hong “Last Call with Carson Daly”; Erica Rhodes “VEEP” and “Modern Family”; The Rumoli Bros. Kurt Firla “Robot Chicken” and Brandon Firla “SUITS.”
