The Monrovia Association of Fine Arts (MAFA) will host two more Autumn Art Walks events in Old Town Monrovia. The first event was a hit and the upcoming Oct. 27 and Nov. 24 events, set to run from 7 to 10 p.m., will undoubtedly be so as well. The Art Walks cover the 400 and 500 blocks of South Myrtle Avenue.

The Autumn Art Walk provides the opportunity for residents to browse art from MAFA members. The September event included live music sponsored by the city.

To register your art for any of the Autumn Art Walks you must be a MAFA member and pay the $45 fee for each event. If you are not a member and would like to join you can visit their website to register. Both artists and non-artists can join MAFA.

Artist interested in joining must be juried in by submitting photos of three representative pieces of their work to Frank Zgonc, Jury Chairperson at frazgo@msn.com along with a one-time $25 jury fee (or $15 for students). Once a member, artists must pay $35 a year for annual membership dues while students pay $15 a year as long as they are enrolled in high school or college.

However, you do not have to be an artist to become a MAFA member. MAFA offers patron memberships which includes all the benefits of being an artist member. The individual patron of the arts membership is $100.

For more information on MAFA, visit MonroviaFineArts.org.
