Business Leaders Assemble for Pasadena Business and Economic Summit
Presentation by Somjita Mitra, director of the Institute for Applied Economics
The City of Pasadena and the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce will host the sixth Pasadena Business and Economic Summit on Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The University Club at 175 N. Oakland Ave. in Pasadena. Leaders of business and industry in Pasadena will discuss the local economy, their industries and the future of business in Pasadena.
Cost to attend the Pasadena Business and Economic Summit is $50 and includes the program, lunch and valet parking. A corporate table of eight, which in addition includes signage and recognition on the program, costs $400.
Somjita Mitra, director of the Institute for Applied Economics at the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation will provide an economic overview and insights into trends and issues that may impact Pasadena’s economy.
The summit will include an update on development activity in Pasadena by Economic Development Manager Eric Duyshart.
Special presentations will be made by Tom Soderstrom, IT chief technology and innovation officer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Christopher Dougherty, administrator of Shriners Hospital for Children.
