Monrovia has had its Lyft subsidized ride program for several months, but not all the community is using the program as effectively as possible and some may even be intimidated to use the system. To alleviate the fears and teach more members of the community how to use the system to get around the city, a tutorial has been prepared targeting seniors who may be hesitant to use the new system.
On Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. the seminar will be held in the Community Room at Monrovia Public Library. A light dinner will be provided. City staff as well as representatives from Lyft will be on hand to answer such questions as: How do I use Lyft? Can I use the system without a smart phone? How do I pay? And is it safe to get in a stranger’s car?
Attend the tutorial and learn the answers to all these and any other questions you might have. For more information, contact Angela Cho at (626) 932-5528.
