Arcadia Offers Grants for Home Improvement
Arcadia homeowners interested in improving their property may be eligible for a grant to pay for certain improvements such as plumbing, electrical , energy efficient doors and windows, roofing, interior and exterior painting, termite inspection and repairs, accessibility modifications and more.
To qualify, applicants must own the home, meet household income limits, must have resided in the home for a minimum of three years prior to receiving assistance, and agree to reside in the home for three years after the improvements have been completed. The income limits for the program are as follows:
- The maximum income for a household of one is $54,250.
- The maximum income for a household of two is $62,000.
- The maximum income for a household of three is $69,750.
- The maximum income for a household of four is $77,500.
- The maximum income for a household of five is $83,700.
The Home Improvement Program has been funded in part by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant Program.
