Registration is now open for the new co-ed Youth Sports Program. All fourth and fifth grade boys and girls have the opportunity to join the basketball team or cheerleading squad for the fall season.

The reimagined Youth Sports Program provides city-wide sports programming instead of a school-site specific program. The fresh concept allows for youth to play on teams with youth from different schools while encouraging parent involvement. Participants will develop skills that promote physical activity and teamwork in an engaging, supportive environment.

Registration for Youth Sports is simple and can be completed by using one of the following methods:

  • Visit cityofmonrovia.org/recreation and click on “Activity Guide & Class Sign-Up.”
  • Visit the Monrovia Community Center, located at 119 W. Palm Ave., Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.

The season will start on Sept. 17, with practices held at Julian Fisher Park (915 S. California Ave.), on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and games on Saturday mornings. The price for registration is $35 for Monrovia Unified School District residents and students and $40 for non-residents.
