When you start thinking about the ways you manage your finances are you finding trustworthy resources to make your money work for you? Many of us perhaps wouldn’t even know where to start, or even how to start making better choices when it comes to investing in our future. On Sept. 22, a local networking organization in the City of Pasadena, called Wine, Women & Wow, will be presenting a series of educational workshops at the WCC (Women’s City Club of Pasadena) to help the community with some tips on how to have better money practices. Listening to money advice from an expert in any opportunity is something anyone can benefit from during this innovative economy that may have a lot of us asking, “How can we better secure our financial future?”

The two hour workshop will be presented by Diane Sexton, a retired vice president of one of the largest savings and loan companies in the country. A few weeks ago while having tea at the WCC I had the pleasure of meeting Diane Sexton. During our brief encounter we discovered we both were working for major finance companies during the 2008 stock market crash. Do you remember where your money ended up during this time? And if something like that were to happen again, do you have solid preparations set in place for your finances to survive an economic downfall?

It is questions like these that ignited Diane Sexton to want to help by educating her community on how to make money work for them by sharing easy to understand, informative insights on better ways to manage their finances. Diane Sexton started her career as a teller and soared to the position of national manager of the company’s Field Marketing department. In other words, it is safe to say she may know a thing or two when it comes to giving sound money advice from a professional perspective.

If you recently encountered unexpected success, if you happen to be the primary source of income for your family or simply someone willing to learn a thing or two about making money work for you, then this is a great opportunity to learn a few tips on how to secure your monetary destiny. The workshop will be at the Women’s City Club of Pasadena on Sept. 22 and from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be a continental breakfast and several free drawings to add some fun to this important and educational presentation. Please visit winewomenwow.com/calendar to RSVP and save your seat.
