Sierra Madre Playhouse has been upgrading its operations for several years now, gaining artistic recognition including Ovation nominations and awards. To reinforce its emphasis on delivering a superior artistic experience for its audience, the Playhouse is augmenting its staff.

For the first time, the Playhouse will have a full-time on-site company manager to oversee all the details of the day-to-day operations of the Playhouse. The new appointee is Brett Moore. He will report to Playhouse Managing Director Estelle Campbell.

Brett Moore has spent 10 years in administrative and operational roles within nonprofit, educational, and entertainment organizations and now takes his skills to the Sierra Madre Playhouse. A former teacher, actor, and stage manager, Brett’s passion for theatre and gift for coordinating people and events alike are welcome additions to the Sierra Madre Playhouse team.

C. Julian White is the new associate artistic director of the Playhouse. The African-American actor and director received his MFA from the University of Iowa and received classical training at Oxford University. A certified Meisner teacher, he is an Adjunct Professor at Cal Poly Pomona, where he teaches acting, directing, stage combat, and movement. His acting credits include roles in “Much Ado About Nothing,” “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” “Julius Caesar,” “Othello,” “Titus Andronicus,” “King Lear,” and much more. His directing credits include “Cabaret,” “The Taming of the Shrew,” “Welcome Home Jenny Sutter,” “The Road to Mecca,” “The Trojan Women,” “Medea,” and “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.” He recently appeared in the web series “Just Jackie.”

With these new additions to its staff, Sierra Madre Playhouse will continue to enhance the experiences of audiences who will see the finest professional productions of American playwrights.
