Arcadia Senior Services, in partnership with Methodist Hospital, is having its annual Health Fair, “Catch the Wellness Wave,” on Friday, Sept. 21. It will take place at the Arcadia Community Center, located at 365 Campus Drive.
There will be information booths and health screenings from 9 a.m. to noon. Two health screenings need appointments; a $7 carotid artery screening and a free hearing test. These appointments can be made by calling Arcadia Senior Services at (626) 574-5130. Additional free screenings are blood pressure, bone density, pulmonary function test, and more.
There will be healthy food samples, vendors, giveaways and educational sessions including Dr. Rodrigo Rodriguez, neurologist, speaking on “Stroke, Alzheimer’s and Dementia” from noon to 1 p.m. You can purchase a box lunch at the health fair for $2.
