On Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Pasadena dog owners can leash up their four-legged furry friends and head to Old Pasadena for the second Yappy Hour, a doggy meet-up that showcases the city’s adorably cute pooches. Join the fun on Big Bang Theory Way, outside Dog Haus Biergarten, at 93 E. Green St.
Event-goers can meet local Instagram dog celebrities, snap pictures on the green carpet of the step-and-repeat photo opportunity, enter to win raffled swag bags, and get a free Yappy Hour bandana while supplies last. Local businesses and organizations will also be on hand with tasty samples and information for dog owners, and DJ Glenn Red will keep things lively with tunes.
Once Yappy Hour is finished, owners with bandanna-wearing pups can continue the party with extended happy hour pricing at several restaurants and bars throughout the district.
The Dog Bakery will be handing out fresh-baked cookies, biscuits, and beef jerky samples that also include a $5-off coupon to use toward full-size bags of jerky.
Splash and Dash Dog Groomerie and Boutique will hand out goodies bags, informational brochures about their services, samples of their human-grade dog treats, and coupons.
Pasadena Humane Society will share information about the wide range of services offered to pets and their owners throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Finally, visitor can step onto the outdoor dog-friendly patio at Dog Haus Biergarten to enjoy an extended happy hour that features:
- $3 PBR 16-ounce cans.
- $2 off draft beer and wine.
- $2 off single mix well drinks.
- $3.99 This Burger (white American cheese, caramelized onions, mayonnaise).
- $3.99 That Burger (white American cheese, pickles, lettuce, onions, 1001 island).
- $2.99 sliced sausage.
- $1.49 tots and fries.
Please note: All dogs must be on a leash. This is a dog-only event – no other pets are allowed. Alcohol consumption must remain within Dog Haus Biergarten’s property.
