Can you read and understand basic English, but would like to practice your conversation and pronunciation skills? Make friends, practice speaking, and improve your English skills in a relaxed, informal setting starting on Monday, Aug. 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the Arcadia Public Library’s Cay Mortenson Auditorium.
This class lets students work in small groups with an experienced volunteer in a fun, supportive setting. This free class runs through June 2, but people can join any time. Refreshments will be provided.
Volunteers who would like to help others learn to speak English are being sought as well. No prior experience is needed. For more information or questions about volunteering, please call (626) 821-4364 or visit the Arcadia Public Library’s website at ArcadiaCA.gov/library. The Arcadia Public Library is located at 20 W. Duarte Road, Arcadia. The Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. You can also follow the Library on Facebook and Twitter.
