Have you ever had a drink or two somewhere in Old Town Pasadena and suddenly feel an eerie presence you can’t explain? That’s because there might be more than craft beer, themed cocktails, and delicious food luring you in all over Old Pas. Some of the popular pubs in Old Town Pasadena are historic buildings once known for something else once upon a time. The Pasadena Heritage is featuring an Old Pasadena Pub Crawl on July 28. Be sure to purchase a ticket and be part of this experience that may leave you wondering if it was the beer that might have given you the ability to witness something supernatural?

The Pub Crawl tour will  be featuring more than beer tasting. It will also guide you to some delicious light bites. You may get the best of both worlds at Harlowe’s, a restaurant famous for more than their delicious lamb and pork French dip sandwiches. While visiting this place and enjoying a light bite, you may experience something supernatural. The spooky legend of Harlowe’s claims that the restaurant may be haunted. However, don’t let this foolish talk get in the way of experiencing beautiful architecture. Harlowe’s interior design is remarkable. Joining the Pub Crawl could be the perfect way to experience and learn about this place in a different way if you haven’t already enjoyed a visit.

Another place that may be featured on the Pub Crawl is Der Wolf, a German beer hall based in the original downtown of  Pasadena. This beautiful pub has more than what meets the eye. You can order a tall glass of Reissdorf Kolsh while the bartender shares with you that the bar was once a police station. Rumor has it that the police station’s neighbor was a hotel, or perhaps a brothel. Today the famous waterhole has a large selection of German beer. If you find yourself suddenly having a lack of decision-making skills and not sure what beer to ask for, simply order a taste flight. Leave it to the experts at this famous pub  and enjoy a little taste of the popular German beers served at Der Wolf. There could also be more than one floor at this pub to discover; maybe it will be featured at the Pub Crawl who knows?

There will be more fun places to discover and/or experience during the Old Pasadena Pub Crawl on Saturday, July 28. The tour is from 2 to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $35 dollars for members and $40 dollars for non-members. This is a fun and interactive way to learn about Pasadena’s architecture, history, and spirits. You might even witness some tour-goers crawling in and out of pubs all over Old Town Pasadena and live to tell the tale. Being part of the Pub Crawl Tous is also a great opportunity to support and or join the Pasadena Heritage and start taking advantage of the perks that come with being a member. Please visit www.pasadenaheritage.org to purchase tickets for this event, become a member, or find information about upcoming events.
