It is a BRIDGE Block Party
The Pasadena Heritage organizes the Colorado Bridge Party every other summer. What makes this party special is that the bridge gets closed off. This allows party attendees to experience the Colorado Street Bridge in a different way. The bridge gets filled with hundreds of local residents enjoying a festive atmosphere that comes alive during this event. No cars, no bicycles, only local residents enjoying a nice walk on the Colorado bridge.
Let Them Have Food and Drinks
The bridge party featured a lot of different foods and drinks for everyone attending this grand event. You had the opportunity to have a meal on the side of the bridge, or at a table in the middle of the bridge. There was delicious food all over the bridge. Food from Dina’s Dumplings, and VChos featuring Latin cuisine, only to name a few. You could also purchase shaved ice or ice cream from TwoHey’s to cool off and enjoy while you listened to live music on the bridge. This party had the foodie well covered without a doubt.
Live Entertainment
Four stages were set up along the Colorado Street bridge during the event. The stages featured live music for everyone to enjoy while taking a stroll. Dilemma was one of the featured bands at this year’s Colorado Street Bridge Party. The band formerly known as Snotty Scotty and the Hankies, a local Pasadena popular cover band, had the crowd going with amazing music. There was also plenty of fun activities for the kids and a rare car display for you to take a photo of or be photographed inside the bus photobooth.
The Pasadena Heritage also had organizations like the Pasadena Fire Department, American Red Cross, and Altadena Mountain Rescue Team. The bridge party was a wonderful event for all ages to enjoy.
