California Philharmonic’s second concert of the season, “Phantom Meets Puccini,” is overflowing with talented special guests including Broadway star James Barbour. The not to be missed show takes place on July 8 at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall.

A heralded baritone who has wowed audiences with remarkable performances on Broadway in such phenomenal shows as “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” and “Beauty and the Beast,” Barbour will join the world-class orchestra in some of the most significant works by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Giacomo Puccini.

“Phantom Meets Puccini” also features acclaimed special guests soprano Jamie Chamberlin and tenor Nathan Granner as well as the Cal Phil Chorale and Pasadena’s own Washington Middle School Glee Club.

Cal Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall performances start at 2 p.m., with the intimate pre-concert “Talks With The Maestro” at 1 p.m. in BP Hall.

The California Philharmonic is supported by the California Philharmonia Society, a non-profit community benefit organization whose primary emphasis at this time is to support the California Philharmonic.
