The summer term of “The Masters Series” is scheduled Tuesdays, July 10 to Aug. 28 from 2-4 p.m. at the Pasadena Senior Center, located at 85 E. Holly St.
Dr. Alan Chapman, producer/host at KUSC Classical Radio and a faculty member at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, will present multimedia talks about orchestra instruments and their ancestors, the art of writing for orchestras, and Puccini operas with video footage of legendary performers. Tuition is $105 for the full summer term or $15 for individual dates.
“The Masters Series,” which embraces and promotes lifelong learning, is open to members of the Pasadena Senior Center. Non-members may try the series by attending their first presentation for free.
