Arcadia Police officers have taken multiple suspects into custody for felony charges including suspicion of residential burglary, all within the last few weeks. This serves as a reminder for all to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity as soon as you see it. If you see something, say something.

On June 13, officers were called to a home in the 200 block of Arbolada on the report of a possible burglary in progress. The officers quickly detained one suspect at the front of the home waiting inside a car. They found the home was burglarized through a smashed window and immediately set up containment in the neighborhood. Ultimately, three of four suspects were taken into custody. Burglary tools, cash, and jewelry were found inside the suspect’s car. A 21-year-old man from Highland, a 20-year-old female and a 22-year-old man, both from San Bernardino, were all arrested and booked at the Arcadia City Jail.

In two separate incidents in early June, Arcadia patrol officers found two suspicious vehicles in residential areas where the drivers of each vehicle chose to flee when the officers attempted to pull them over. Each incident led to a short pursuit and ultimately the arrest of two men. A stolen handgun was recovered in the first incident and items taken in a previous Arcadia residential burglary were found in the second.

During the morning hours of June 2, officers tried to stop a car for a traffic violation in the area of Colorado and Old Ranch. The driver failed to yield and tossed a handgun out the window as he fled. The driver stopped a short time later, was detained and found to be on Probation (Post-Release Community Supervision). The handgun was recovered and officers learned the weapon had been reported stolen. Antonio L. Dismuke, a 27-year-old man from Los Angeles, was arrested on a number of felony charges including: felon in possession of a firearm, narcotics charges, and evading. Dismuke was booked at the Arcadia City Jail.

On June 4, an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle with no license plates in the residential area of Altura and Columbia. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled leading the officer on a short pursuit. The driver attempted a turn and collided with a building on Rosemead Blvd. The driver and passenger then fled on foot. With the assistance of outside police agencies, an airship, and a police K-9, the driver was found a short time later. The passenger was not found. Inside the suspect’s vehicle, officers found property taken in a previous Arcadia residential burglary a couple days prior. The driver, Deandre D. Macintosh Jr., a 22-year-old man from Rialto, was arrested on felony charges including evading and residential burglary. Macintosh was booked at the Arcadia City Jail.
