The westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway at Lake Avenue were closed for several hours Sunday and into Monday as CHP investigated the death of a man who fell from a freeway sign on to traffic below. According to multiple reports, a man was walking on the Lake Ave. overpass and apparently climbed onto the highway signs above the westbound I-210 (Foothill Freeway) around 10 p.m. Sunday. The man then may have jumped and landed on the tarmac of the freeway where several cars ran over the victim, Marlon Montgomery, age 49. He was pronounced dead on scene.
