At their annual Fire Service Day Pancake Breakfast, Monrovia Fire and Rescue honored Monrovia Weekly’s Editor and Photographer Terry Miller. They presented the award-winning journalist with his own brush fire jacket for safety at fire scenes. Appropriately, the jacket bears just the word “PHOTOGRAPHER” across its shoulders on top, beautifully stitched and his name across the bottom of the jacket.
“We wanted to show Terry how much we appreciate everything he has done for the department over the years,” said Fire Chief Brad Dover. A little bird had mentioned that Terry was searching for a used jacket to use at fires to protect his clothing.
Miller was “Complete stunned by the generosity of the Monrovia Fire Department, let’s hope I don’t need to use it very often, ” he said.
