More than 100 students with special needs across the West San Gabriel Valley donned boutonnieres and pearl necklaces during an afternoon of music and dance at a Roaring Twenties themed prom on May 11. Monrovia High leadership students became paparazzi and snapped photos on the red carpet as students enjoyed a Jazz Age atmosphere with a deejay providing entertainment.
Students with special needs from Monrovia Unified, Alhambra Unified, Arcadia Unified, Duarte Unified, El Monte Union, San Gabriel Unified, San Marino Unified, South Pasadena Unified and Temple City Unified school districts attended.
