Having recently relocated to the SoCal area from the east coast for family reasons, I am happy to say that so far, the culture and climes agree with me. And all of you have been so welcoming! I’m looking forward to getting to know you.

What are my hopes for my new life here in California? To have fun getting to know my new surroundings and to once again build a business serving those labeled or thought to have ADHD (or “first class innovators” as I prefer to call them). I have a passion for turning under-performers into top performers using ADHD Coaching and research-based brain training strategies. While it seems that we are getting better at identifying those with the rapid firing distractible brain type, we are not keeping pace with helping them succeed.

From middle school to college ages students, couples and adults in and out of the work place, I have had the distinct privilege to serve this population of people for 40 + years and have helped people learn to have productive and fulfilling lives in spite of their brain type. And why is that you might ask? I find it immensely fulfilling to help people rediscover their true skills and talents and reconnect to the belief thy once had in themselves. I liken this to shining a flashlight in a dark wood and ultimately finding a bright light coming from a magic garden of talents and abilities just waiting to be rediscovered.

I connect to people with this brain type in a number of ways – from meeting one to one, facilitating groups, seeing them in my office in Pasadena, and working together over Skype, Face Time and phone. I especially like opportunities to speak in public and do presentations for clinics and organizations. In my recent book: “Your Innovator Brain – The Truth About ADHD”, I explain my philosophy about ADHD and the need to let go of the stigma which is holding so many people back in life. In my book I talk about what I have learned over my career spanning 4 decades and the secret to my coaching success and the successful outcomes my clients get from our work together.

Some of my favorite programs are the ones I do for high school students preparing to succeed in college, middle school students needing to unlock the secrets of their brain and retrain them, and my ADHD Couples work that has so dramatically changed my life. It is also my mission to help corporations and business environments learn how with some simple changes, they can make it easier for ADHD workers to perform to their potential and save the thousands of dollars spent firing and rehiring.

In essence, my intention is the same as it was on that other coast: to continue to make a difference in the lives of people with “neuro-diverse” brain types through helping them fulfill the potential they were born with.
