A press release was issued from PUSD regarding the early resignation/ retirements benefit package:
“We are very pleased to announce that today the bargaining teams for United Teachers of Pasadena (UTP) and the Pasadena Unified School District (District) met and had a very productive and positive day of negotiations. The two teams reached an agreement for the implementation of the Supplementary Early Resignation/Retirement Plan. Both teams are excited at the opportunity to provide an additional benefit for our eligible UTP unit members and the opportunity to retain our more junior UTP unit members. The District and UTP will be working collaboratively to provide information and assistance in navigating this process for UTP members who wish to participate in the Supplementary Early Resignation/Retirement Plan.”
