The Arcadia track and & field team put together another solid outing as the Apaches hosted Pasadena and Burroughs in it’s seventh meet this season on Thursday.

Before competing at the San Gabriel Valley Championships in a couple of weeks, the Arcadia Apaches used this meet to sharpen their skills and prepare for the second half of the season.

On the boys’ side, every Apache participating in the 100-meter dash hit a personal record. Aiden Johnson clocked in at 11.44a, good enough for second place just behind Pasadena’s Asher Smith (11.08a).

Anthony Carranza and Soichiro Nagao also had impressive showings in the 800 meters and the 3200 meters, respectively. Carranza placed first with a time of 2:03.31a while Nagao recorded a personal best time of 9:49.92a.

Arcadia’s 4×100 and the 4×400 relay teams dominated as well, earning first place in their respective events.

Highlights from the girls’ side include Natalie Stepanian’s performance in the 3200 meters event. She clocked in at first place with a time of 11:33.82a, which was more than a minute less than second place Lakely Nealis from Burroughs.

The girls’ 4×100 relay team managed to edge out Burroughs and Pasadena for a first-place finish with a time of 50.61a.
