Assembly Member Chris Holden will host a public safety meeting in Monrovia on Thursday, March 1st at the Monrovia Community Center starting at 5:30 pm. Registration for the event begins at 5:30 with the program beginning at 6 pm. In the aftermath of the enactment of Assembly Bill 109 and the passage of Propositions 47 and 57, questions have arisen about the criminal justice system in California.

Holden has brought together a panel to discuss the issue. The panel includes California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Secretary Scott Kernan, Government Affair Director of California Corrections Peace Officers Association Stephan Walker, Arcadia Police Chief Robert T. Guthrie who is also the President of the Los Angeles County Police Chief’s Association, and the Director of the Flintridge Center Reintegration Specialist Daniel Torres.
