The boys soccer team is one of the best teams on campus at Monrovia High School.  The Wildcats are coached by Michael Williams, and like they have done in so many years under Williams’ guidance, the Wildcats just keep winning.

MHS finished the regular season once again atop of the Rio Hondo League standings, winning the league with a 9-1 mark, finishing 16-6-3 overall.  They are led by two seniors, Justin Albert and Keenan McKelvey, as well as strong goaltending by fellow senior Edward Yousseff.

With the league championship came a berth in the CIF Southern Section Division V playoffs.  In the opening round of the playoffs, the Wildcats took on the Mountain View Vikings, and though the game certainly wasn’t pretty, MHS kept their season alive, winning 1-0.  They will take on Oak Hills High School in the 2nd round of the playoffs this Wednesday.
