The event taking place at the Pasadena Convention Center will cater to students K-12 as a joint venture with Zuckerberg Media and Open World Events.

Randi Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, the creative team behind Sue’s Tech Kitchen and Universal Kids’ award-winning series “Dot.,” have partnered with Open World Events to bring her latest tech experience to Pasadena. The first-ever i5 Live! (formerly the Young Innovators Fair) is a Super STEM event for kids K-12 taking place on March 3rd and 4th at the Pasadena Convention Center. Complete with tech and science fueled games, activities and performances taking up two indoor football fields, i5 Live!  will offer fun and interactive experience for families to enjoy together. This one of a kind event will inspire children ages 5-18 to engage with science, technology, engineering and math, by creating a space for them to explore and play with cutting-edge technology from the latest startups, as well as established tech companies all in one giant, immersive experience.

“We set out to jolt the community in the sciences,” said Gabe Young, CEO of Open World Events, producer of i5 Live! “and with the help of many amazing partners, this show is the awesome outcome.”

In 2018, the entire city of Pasadena will embark on a year of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, making them an ideal partner to help launch i5 Live! for the very first time. Some of the experiences that can be expected from i5 Live! will include activities exploring the worlds of architecture and design, aviation, aerospace, chemistry, physics, robotics, automation, brain games, puzzles, music, film, green energy, sustainability, coding, computer science, gaming, hardware & software. By exposing young people to these exciting fields, i5 Live! will expand their knowledge and foster a love for all of the new technology the world has to offer.

i5 Live! will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, March 3rd at 9:30 a.m. with the mayor of Pasadena, Terry Tornek. The experience will be open to the public on Saturday, March and Sunday, March 4 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. To learn more and purchase pre-sale tickets please visit i5Live.com.
