Assembly Member Chris Holden is looking for nominations for his Woman of Distinction honor. Each year in honor of Woman’s History Month the Assemblyman names of Woman of Distinction in each of the ten cities he represents. These communities include La Verne, Monrovia, South Pasadena, Upland, Claremont, Pasadena, Altadena, Rancho Cucamonga, Sierra Madre, and San Dimas.
The deadline for nomination is this Friday, February 16th. The women nominated must live or work in the district. Self-nominations are not allowed. For more information, contact Kevin Mulligan at kevin.mulligan@asm.ca.gov or by calling (616)351-1917.
The award is presented to women whose service and work have made a positive impact in the district. A selection committee will name one woman from each city and one woman will be named as the 41st Assembly District Woman of the Year from among these. The Woman of the Year will be honored at a special ceremony next month at the State Capital in Sacramento.
