Isn’t historical trivia fascinating? During fourteen years, from 1919 to 1933, a person faced jail time if a policeman caught him drinking a beer. And the violence that raged during those Prohibition years by gangsters in the trafficking of liquor is shocking — even by today’s standards.
Now, only eighty-five years later (a short period. really, by the measuring tape of history), anyone over the age of twenty-one can learn to make beer at a public library.
