Pasadena Bulldogs Road Show Continues with Win over Arcadia
By: Spencer Stueve
The Pasadena High School Bulldogs basketball team is never home, though they are certainly not alone. Much like the 2011-2012 UCLA basketball team, the Bulldogs will play every game away from their campus, as the basketball gym is under renovation.
Last week, they took on the Arcadia Apaches in a league game, this time played at Marshall Sports Complex at Marshall High School. Despite traveling to a “home” game, the Bulldogs were ready. With stifling defense and enough offense, they jumped out to a 17-9 lead behind the aerial artistry of their best player, Bryce Hamilton. At halftime, they extended the lead to a dozen, 35-23.
Though the Apaches would cut the lead nearly in half at the end of the 3rd quarter, the 4th belonged to the Bulldogs. The offense got on track, and the Bulldog defense was constant. Final score- PHS 67 AHS 51.
Pasadena can celebrate the win for a short time, but the season continues, and so does their travel. The Bulldogs continue league play this week with matchups against Burbank and Hoover High School.
