Pasadena Police officers responded to the area of Lincoln and Mountain (freeway underpass) late on Dec. 9 with the conclusion of a vehicle pursuit.  LAPD and CHP had pursued the suspect’s vehicle from Los Angeles to Pasadena. When the pursuit concluded, the occupants refused to exit the vehicle. Initial reports indicated the suspect had outstanding warrants totaling 1.6 million dollars and was connected with dangerous weapon charges. LAPD, CHP and PPD contained the area and began talking with the occupants in the car.  Subsequently, the passenger exited the vehicle following orders from law enforcement officials; however, the driver (suspect) refused to cooperate. After a prolonged period of time, officers safely approached the car and the suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of a CHP canine. The suspect driver was taken to a local area hospital by PFD for evaluation.
