Nov. 11
At about 9:53 a.m., Pasadena Police officers conducted a periodic check at an abandoned property following several complaints of trespassers in the 1300 block of East Villa Street. Officers encountered three people inside of the structure and later determined one of the subjects was in possession of a firearm. The suspect (a known gang member) was arrested without incident and booked at the Pasadena jail.
Dec. 1
At about 10:49 p.m., Pasadena Police Traffic Section was conducting a DUI checkpoint in the 800 block of South Arroyo Parkway. A vehicle entered the checkpoint; however, before reaching the officers, the driver exited the cone patter and fled. PPD officers attempted to stop the driver; however, he failed to yield to the officer’s emergency equipment. The suspect drove to the 1700 block of South Los Robles Avenue in San Marino, where he abandoned his car and fled on foot. He was arrested a short time later without incident.
Dec. 2
At about 8:31 p.m., Pasadena Police officers assigned to the Special Enforcement Section (SES) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Lake Avenue and Rio Grande Street. During their field investigation, SES officers located a firearm in the vehicle. The suspect, a male adult, was arrested without incident and transported to the Pasadena jail.
Dec. 3
At about 6:40 a.m., Pasadena Police officers investigated a traffic collision in the 200 block of Barthe Drive. On arrival, officers located a vehicle that impacted a structure. The Chevy truck drove into the residence and completely penetrated the front bedroom. Three occupants were sleeping in the bedroom at the time of the incident. Two suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Our investigation is ongoing.
Dec. 4
At about 9:45 a.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to the 2900 block of New York Drive regarding a death investigation. On arrival, officers located the victim, a lifeless male adult. Evidence at the scene suggested the victim suffered fatal lacerations while attempting to trim a large tree branch. PPD detectives and the personnel from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office responded to assist with the investigation.
