For those in the community who have always wanted to join a book club to discuss current and classic books, there is such a group at the Monrovia Public Library. Called Novel T’s Book Club, it meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month for a lively book discussion featuring a new facilitator each month.
The Book Club meets in the Library Community Room at 6:30 p.m. for snacks and chitchat. The discussion begins at 6:45 p.m.
Here is the start of the line-up for next year:
-Jan. 23 – Never Let Me Go, by Kazuo Ishiguro
-Feb. 27 – The Optimist’s Daughter, by Eudora Welty
-March 27 – The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger
-April 24 – Members choice of any title by author Christopher Taylor Buckley
-May 22 – Our Souls At Night, by Kent Haruf
