This year a new feature has been added to the Annual Celebrate the Arts and Chalkfest this weekend, October 7th and 8th. The Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board is hosting the first fall horse-drawn hayrides in Old Town. The rides will begin on Myrtle Avenue (east side of Library Park) from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $2 per person on a first-come, first-served basis,
Each year, the Monrovia Association for Fine Art holds its festival in Library Park, this year being the 54th annual. The show will run Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be displays and live demonstrations by various fine and chalk artists.
In addition there will be activities for the kids, and an Oktoberfest beer garden for the not kids. To sop up that beer, there will be several food trucks in attendance. And there will be live music continuously.
If all this were not enough, on Saturday, the Friends of the Monrovia Public Library will be concluding its book sale.
